A CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) is a straight forward partnership between community members, farmers, and the land. It serves as a direct link and responsible relationship between people and the food they eat, the land, and those who grow it.

How a CSA works: Based on a seasonal commitment, community members pre-pay for a share of the season's harvest. Members then receive weekly a box of farm fresh produce picked at the peak of ripeness and flavor and delivered to a convenient location in your neighborhood.

In signing up, you dedicate yourself to being our customer for the season. This type of community support enables us to purchase the necessary seed and supply to provide for a bountiful harvest for our members, and it sustains the farm through the seasons and across the years, in spite of any unfortunate events that may occur.

We currently offer two harvest seasons to which you may subscribe. Our Spring/Summer season runs 12 weeks from April to July, and our Summer/Fall season lasts 11 weeks from September to November. The Fall season is a bit shorter in order to avoid the intense heat of August which can cause a noticeable decline in the quality of produce.

Delivery Charge: In order to sustain and improve our convenient delivery services, we have instituted a $12 delivery charge per season to areas more than 35 miles from our farm and a $24 charge per season to areas more than 70 miles from the farm. This fee will cover the cost of fuel, drivers, insurance, and other delivery expenses.

Share Size Adjustments: As you'll notice below, we renamed our shares to better reflect their respective volumes and added a new premium "Small" size for individuals. If you are a returning member, please note that the Family, Small, and Single shares of last year have been renamed (respectively) Extra Large, Large, and Medium shares for 2010.
