Having grown up on his family’s farm McLeod & Son in Seabrook, SC, Urbie’s love for farming did not fall far from his family tree. Urbie’s grandfather William H. McLeod taught Urbie the practice of growing fresh, quality vegetables and caring for the land. Urbie now continues the family tradition with his son, Ashby, on the old McLeod property, now known as Rest Park Farm. Urbie is thrilled to now provide the Pinckney’s Produce CSA program and share the fruits of his family’s harvest to his neighbors.
After attending Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Ashby, Urbie’s oldest son decided to go back to his roots of farming. Ashby is an avid saltwater fisherman and hunter. His love for the outdoors has brought him to where he is now spending days on the farm with his father.
